Wondering how your cart drawer looks when there are no items inside? This feature allows you to customize the empty cart state by displaying a friendly message, image, and call-to-action to guide customers back to shopping.

How to Set It Up
Step 1: Enable Amote in Your Theme
Make sure the Amote app embed is enabled in your Theme Editor.
→ Please refer to this article for detailed instructions.Open Amote in your Shopify Admin.
Go to Upsell & Cross-sell → Cart Drawer → Empty Cart Item section.
Step 2: Configure Settings and Customization
In General Settings, configure the content:
Image: You can display an image in the cart drawer when it's empty
Empty message: The message shown when the cart has no items (for example: Your cart is empty. Let’s find something you’ll love!).
Button text: Customize the call-to-action button (for example: Continue Shopping).
Button link: Choose where customers are redirected when clicking the button (homepage, collections, or a specific page).
In the Appearance section, you can apply your Global colors or manually customize contents in Section Color:
Step 3: Save and Test
Click Save, then visit your storefront:
Open the cart drawer with no items added
Confirm the empty cart message, image, and button display correctly
Test the button link
